:
We will leave Graveson, with Caramel and Cesar, my two fellow travellers and they will lead us to the painter Auguste Chabaud’s estate, where he lived as a peasant all his life and we will follow the paths where he put down his easel as an artist.
In his paintings, you can sense how close he thought men are to the earth. Both Auguste Chabaud and Frederic Mistral agree on this. This is why, while meandering along, you will sometimes find yourself on narrow paths usually taken by flocks of sheep that inspired the poet who was enthralled by the beauty of the Alpilles, the colours of the fields and the quietness of the country lanes. In short, you will see where he found his inspiration - the people of Provence.
From there, we will pass through the village of Maillane and stop by Frederic Mistral’s very impressive tomb. Then, very gently, we will head back towards Graveson, the village where the painter Chabaud lived for most of his life.
During this trip you will witness the beauty of the landscape and experience the poetry, colours and emotions that have inspired many.
