The story of a passion

Balthazar was born almost fifty years ago in 1960 in the Provence praised and described by Frederic Mistral and painted by Auguste Chabaud.

Balthazar lives and breathes for his Provence.

That was the reason why, at the beginning of his life, as rich and interesting as he could make it, François Roux became Balthazar.

These meanders will share with you moments of peace and communion with nature on the paths and country ways that our ancestors built.

Balthazar invites you to spend a few hours at the gentle pace of his horses and with the rhythm of his tales and legends. He hopes you will forget the concerns of our world as you enjoy the beautiful landscapes and the stories they unfold.

These journeys will take you through the areas that inspired many artists. Among them were the poet Frederic Mistral (1830 – 1914) awarded the 1904 Nobel Prize for Literature; the painter and sculpture Auguste Chabaud (1882 – 1955); the teacher and writer Marie Mauron (1896 – 1986) along with the writers who were inspired to use Provençal (the old langue d’oc of Provence)

I wish you all a pleasant outing! Balthazar
